Doug Deering
Director of

   Doug Deering, is a member of the United States Golf Teachers Federation and
Director of Instruction for the Staten Island Golf Academy. While in High
School, Doug was the Captain of the Curtis High School Golf Team. His
playing achievements include four junior titles, the Silver Lake Mens Club
Championship Class "A" Division and former first round leader in the Sectional
Qualifying round for US Public Links.

   Doug spent 10 years under the instruction of Dave Glenz, one of Golf
Digest's Top 100 Instructors and National Teacher of the Year. Doug was
the Head Coach of St. Joseph's By The Sea High School Girls Golf Team. This
team completed in the finals in 2004 and 2005. Doug is also registered on-line for
the Ping Collegiate Golf Center.

  Doug attended  the December 2004 and  2006 PGA Teaching and Coaching Summit at the PGA Learning Center in Port St. Lucie, Florida.  In February 2009 Doug attended a one on one learning seminar in Arizona with Stan Utley a teacher to many tour players on all aspects of the Short Game.  In 2011 Doug completed a 24 sessions with the Titleist Performance Fitness Program.  In 2012, Doug attended a 3 day Rules of Golf Workshop conducted by the PGA-USGA. Doug previously was an instructor with the Golf Performance Academy.
